With this new release, Storm has delved into uncharted territory relating to their bowling balls. For one, this ball has a fairly prominent spokesperson who helped the company design it: none other than three-time PBA player of the year Jason Belmonte.
It also features a new type of coverstock called the R2S that is two-part pearl and one-part solid, resulting in a unique combination that has proven very successful on the lanes, especially with medium patterns. The ball’s core is also completely new, featuring “dual-drive” weight blocks with an inner and an outer block that combine to promise faster revs and improved energy transfer. The ball’s design apparently took years, but no matter how long the process, they’ve arrived at a very good ball with power and speed.
The Storm Timeless also represents a new price point, squarely in the middle of Storm Bowling’s Premier and Master brands, so it’s a bit of a middle ground for the competitive bowler.
