The Motiv Combat Tank is a ball that takes a lot of the good from previous Motiv urethane balls and adds some significant new features. In particular, the coverstock is a cleaner Alchemy Hybrid urethane compared to the solid one on the previous Tank Rampage ball. This provides the best of both worlds of pearl and solid urethane materials, without nearly any of the drawbacks that come with them.
To continue our comparison to the previous Tank model, this ball also has a a symmetrical Recon core as compared to the older Gear V2 core (the Combat Tank’s core features a higher RG or radius of gyration).
Together these materials and features mean a bit less total hook than you see with the Rampage, but additional length and it will be stronger on dry lanes.
