Norm Duke is easily one of the biggest names ever to compete in the sport of bowling.
Aside from being a PBA Hall of Famer and winner of 34 PBA Tour titles, he’s bowled 58 perfect games in professional competition and pocketed over $2.8 million in prize money.
So it’s natural that bowlers want to learn from the master itself. With a sport like bowling, it’s extremely helpful not only to read about different techniques and how to apply them, but to see them in action as well.
Those who feel this way will be pleased to learn that Duke has not put together a book to share his lessons and advice, but rather an instructional bowling DVD. This article will take a closer look and give it a review.
Norm Duke’s DVD: Learn to Bowl Competitively
Norm Duke’s Learn to Bowl Competitively DVD contains no fewer than 20 high-quality lessons, each featuring sharp graphics, in-depth demonstrations and a step-by-step approach to taking your game to the next level.
This DVD is highly recommended for any and all bowlers looking to improve their fundamentals and increase their scores at the lanes.
You’ll learn about timing, swing planes, reading the lanes, carry and pinfall, and much more.
While I wouldn’t recommend this DVD to a complete beginner, who might be overwhelmed by some of the terminology, anyone who has spent decent time bowling should be able to handle these lessons.
(And in fact, just reading through all our articles here on BeginnerBowlingTips.com would be enough to get most bowlers up to speed.)
But for those who have gained some experience on the lanes, especially in league play or by competing in a tournament of some sort, the content should be a perfect fit.
Norm Duke’s Lessons are Current, Relevant, with Great Production
Also, the DVD is more current than most of the other bowling videos on the market which are much older.
And the others, quite frankly, are not as well done.
Each lesson here was filmed using a full production crew and cutting-edge equipment to provide the best possible learning experience.
Getting to actually see the bowling lessons in video form makes a big difference, and when you start to consider how expensive private coaching is (especially with a real PBA tour champion) this DVD is a great value.

If you’d rather hear it from Norm Duke himself, here’s what he has to say about his training product:
“Why should you struggle to improve your game when you can take advantage of my 30 years of PBA Tour experience and improve immediately? This is your chance to get on the “fast track” to drastic results that will send your confidence soaring and allow you to take your game to higher levels of competition, and succeed!!” -Norm Duke
